Minister of Interior appoints committee to investigate shooting

The minister of the interior, Nii Okaija Adamafio, has appointed a three-member committee to investigate the shooting incident that occurred at Dansoman in the early hours of October 28. A press release issued in Accra named the committee members as Mr E. Owusu Poku, commissioner of police for special duties at the Ministry of the Interior, chairman, Mr Robert Azantilow, also of the Ministry of the Interior, and a state attorney at the Attorney General’s Department. It said the incident resulted in the death of one person, popularly referred to as “China Man”. Meanwhile, the minister has ordered the immediate interdiction of the three police personnel involved in the incident, pending the outcome of the investigation. They are Inspector Patrick Kuzorli, Coporal Peter Acheampong (number 28283) and Coporal Isaac Andoh (number 28629).
