Minister of Defence consoles bereaved families

Accra, Nov. 9, GNA – A high powered delegation led by the Minister of Defence, Hon. Albert Kan-Dapaah, has left Accra for Techiman to offer their condolences to families of persons, who lost their lives in a tragic road accident at the outskirts of Techiman on Saturday, November 8, 2008 A statement issued by the Public Relations Directorate of the Ghana Armed Forces on Saturday and signed by Lieutenant Colonel L.L Attachie, said several persons were reported dead.

It said the accident occurred when a vehicle, which was allegedly being pursued by a Military/Forestry Task Force patrol team on authorized operational duties, drove into a 207 Benz Bus resulting in the fatalities.
