Minister inspects ongoing constituency road projects

Minister for Employment and Labour Relations Haruna Iddrisu on Saturday inspected ongoing road projects within the Tamale South Constituency of the Northern Region.

The Minister who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area urged the contractors to do a good job indicating that he will personally hold them liable for any shoddy work.

He visited Sawaba, Industrial area, Nakpazoo and Kakpayili Yong where he had first-hand information of the projects and the level of work expedited on the projects so far.

Haruna Iddrisu underscored the significance of the roads which are being given a major face-lift indicating that they will link the beneficiary communities to the central business district especially during the raining season.

The contractors gave assurance that they will live up to their mandate and promised to deliver on schedule.

Northern Regional Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Tanko Rashid-Computer who lives in one of the communities was impressed with the minister’s commitment to the execution of the projects.
