Minister decries accident related deaths on uncompleted Madina-Adentan road

The Minister for Zongos and Inner Cities Development, Boniface Abubakar Saddick has decried the number of road accidents within Adentan and its surroundings.

Residents within these communities have appealed to the minister of roads and highway to complete the three footbridges on the Madina Adentan road.

According to them, there have been many deaths as a result of accidents on that road.

The Minister in an interview with Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, expressed the same sentiment but said, the inability to complete was because of resources.

However, the minister of roads and highways has given me an assurance that, the contractor will soon be given the needed resources to complete the project.

Hon. Saddick told the host that he personally toured the area with the roads and highways minister who together with his technical men, assessed the situation.

‘’Frantic efforts are being made to complete the project to ensure safety of pedestrians. The issue is about money but the roads and highways minister has assured me that, money will soon be released so the contractor will complete the work,’’ he said.
