Minister Commissions Electricity Project At Eikwe

The Second Deputy speaker of Parliament, Mr.. Freddie Blay, has urged communities which have been connected to the national electricity grid to pay their electricity bills promptly to enable others to benefit from the Rural Electrification project. Mr.. Blay, who is the MP for Ellembele, advised the people to take advantage of the electricity and establish rural industries to promote the economic development of the area. He expressed his gratitude to the government for making it possible for his constituents to benefit from the projects. The Medical Officer in-charge of the Eikwi Hospital, Dr.. Gabi Koethe, said with the electricity, services offered at the hospital will improve. She commended the government and the Dutch contractors, Nettenbouw, for completing the project ahead of schedule. The Chief of Eikwe, Nana Cofie Amihere, thanked the government and all those who made it possible to complete the project. He appealed to the government to provide the town with a JSS workshop and teachers.
