Mills to attend AU Summit in Equatorial Guinea

President John Atta Mills leaves for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea tomorrow, to attend the 17th session of the assembly of AU Heads of State and Government.

A statement signed by Head of Communications, Koku Anyidoho, says the summit will discuss challenges associated with empowering the youth and making them forces of development.

It will focus on accelerating youth empowerment for sustainable development.

President Mills will share his agenda for youth empowerment with his colleague heads of state.

He will show opportunities created for young men and women to have a critical stake in building a Better Ghana. President Atta Mills is expected back in Accra on Sunday, July 2.

Meanwhile, President John Evans Atta Mills over the weekend received a rousing welcome at the Volta Region as he took his campaign to remain the NDC flagbearer in the next elections.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the spokesperson for Get Atta Mills Endorsed group, GAME, Barbara Asamoah said the delegates pledged to vote for President Mills at the party’s congress in Sunyani next month to enable him to continue the Better Ghana Agenda.
