Mills returns home after int’l assignments

President John Evans Atta Mills returned home on early Saturday morning after spending almost two weeks in the American continent on international assignments.

Vice president John Dramani Mahama, who acted as President in his absence, welcomed President Mills upon arrival.

While away, President Mills addressed the 60th United Nations (UN) General Assembly. He later participated in the 2nd South American-African Summit together with 18 African leaders.

In South America, President Mills brokered a deal with Argentina in the area of agriculture and students’ exchange programme.

Mills then left for New York, where he addressed the Ghanaian community, and had discussions with investors and great business magnates.

Ghana’s Foreign Minister Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni told the national radio that the president’s trip was very fulfilling and expressed the hope that Ghana will reap enormous benefits from it.
