Mills Leaves For AU Summit In Kampala

His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills leaves Accra tomorrow, Saturday, July 24, 2010, for Kampala, Uganda, to attend the 15th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU), which takes place between 25th and 27th July, 2010.

The Summit, which is anchored to the theme: “Maternal, Infant and Child Health and Development in Africa”, will also focus among others, on, the adoption of the African Maritime Transport Charter, and also appoint members to the Africa Commission On Human And Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR).

His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills is expected to present a Paper on Ghana in relation to the theme of the Summit.

His Excellency the President is expected back home on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
