Mills ends tour of Upper West

Tumu (UW/R), July 11, GNA – Professor John Evans Atta Mills, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday rounded-off his five-day tour of the Upper West Region with a well attended rally at Tumu in the Sissala East Constituency.

He also introduced Hajia Rafatu Dubie, a Senior Medical Assistant at the Tumu Hospital to the electorate as the NDC parliamentary candidate for the December elections.

The tour took him to about 40 communities throughout the region where he paid courtesy calls on chiefs and also addressed crowds of NDC supporters.

He said the NDC was the only political party in the country that really had concern for the welfare of the people.

Prof Mills urged Ghanaians to compare their living conditions in 2000 as against now before casting their votes.

He was accompanied by Mr Martin Amidu, his running mate in the 2000 elections and Mr Daniel Ohene Agyekum, former Ashanti Regional Minister.
