Military pays last respect to Major Maxwell Mahama with 21 gun salute

The Military paid their last respect to the late Major Mahama with a 21 gun salute. Major Mahama was laid to rest on 9th June, 2017 at the Osu Military Cemetary after a state burial ceremony at the state house.

The sad death of Major Mahama occurred on Monday 29th May, 2017 after he was lynched by some residents of Denkyira Obuasi in the Central region. This incidence put the entire state in dismay.

Major Maxwell Mahama was mobbed and gruesomely murdered upon suspicion that he was an armed robber. While going for his morning walk he stopped to purchase some snails from some market women but an alarm was raised by one of the women when she saw his handgun at his side.

He left behind a widow and two children
