Military Hospital health professionals presented with vehicles

Accra, Aug. 27, GNA – Fifteen health professionals at the 37 Military Hospital have been presented with Nissan sunny salon vehicles to boost morale and enhance their conditions of service. The hire purchase scheme for health professionals in the country, which was extended to the military after a tour of the facility by the President Atta Mills and the Health Minister, Dr George Sipa Yankey, would also be extended to more personnel as well as their colleagues at the Police Hospital. “This is in appreciation of your dedicated services to both service men and civilians, the high standard of work to the development of democracy in the country,” the Minister said at the presentation in Accra on Thursday. He cautioned health professional to desist from demanding money from patients with emergency conditions and noted that there was the need to attend to such patients and save precious lives. The Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Joseph Smith (Rtd) expressed gratitude to the president for systematically tackling the numerous problems the hospital tabled when he toured the facility.
