Military High Command Donates One-Month Salary to Ghana Medical Trust Fund

The Military High Command has donated their one-month salary to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, in a gesture aimed at supporting the country’s healthcare system.

The donation was made at a brief ceremony held at the Presidency on Friday. The move was disclosed by the Minister for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in a Facebook post shortly after the ceremony.

According to the Minister, the contribution demonstrates the military’s commitment to national development and solidarity, especially in strengthening the health sector.

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund was established to provide financial support for critical medical needs and infrastructure across the country. The fund relies heavily on voluntary contributions from both public and private entities.

This donation from the top ranks of the Ghana Armed Forces is expected to encourage other institutions to contribute to the fund as the country continues efforts to improve healthcare delivery.
