Military discipline, domestication will develop Ghana – GCPP

2012 Presidential Candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) Dr Henry Herbert Lartey has called for compulsory military training for each and every Ghanaian as a way of instilling discipline in the Ghanaian society.

He blamed the high rate of corruption in Ghana on indiscipline among not only leadership but also the entire Ghanaian populace.

Speaking on TV3’s News @10 on Tuesday, August 5, Dr Lartey said with “military discipline” and “domestication”, Ghana would have nothing to worry about.

He suggested that every Ghanaian who turns 18 should be made to undergo military training as part of national service in order to change the society’s attitude towards development.

The GCPP Leader cited Germany and the United Kingdom (UK) as countries that have benefitted from subjecting their citizens to military training.

That was why Germany won the 2014 World Cup, he cited.

Dr Lartey said Ghana is turning chaotic as most people show flagrant disregard for the rule of law.

He dismissed media reports that he has called for a coup d’etat against government, saying he was completely misconstrued by the media.
