Mframa Airlines Gets New Plane

Accra (GAR), – Mframa Airlines Limited, operators of Golden Airways, has taken delivery of a 52-seater Antonov-24 passenger plane from the Stavropol Joint Stock Airlines of the Russian Federation (SAAK). The plane, which will enable the Golden Airways to resume operations on Monday, June 23, was provided under an agreement between SAAK and Mframa Airlines Limited. A statement issued in Accra said Golden Airways will make daily return flights from Kumasi to Accra from Monday. It plans to organise special chartered flights, twice a week from Accra to Lagos, and to Abidjan. Golden Airways suspended operations in April this year for unscheduled maintenance of its aeroplanes.
