Mfantseman West NPP trains members in election monitoring

Saltpond (C/R), Aug. 30, GNA – The Mfantseman West constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has trained 670 of its members on campaign strategies and how to monitor elections.

The training sessions were held at Yamoransa, Anomabo and Saltpond. Mr. J.D. Ehuren, Constituency Chairman, cautioned the participants against the use of abusive language when campaigning for votes. Rather they should use the achievements of the government within the short period it had been in office as their campaign message. “We have a lot to tell the electorate to give the party their votes,” he said and cautioned them never to allow themselves to be provoked.

Miss Esi Dankwa, Women Organiser, cautioned against complacency and said even though the odds favoured the party winning the seat they should not be complacent.

She admonished the participants to work harder and be vigilant on the Election Day to enable them to detect any electoral malpractice, which might arise.

Miss Dankwa advised them to comport themselves so as to serve as role models for the others.
