Saltpond(CR), March 02, GNA – Mfantseman Municipal Directorate of Education and authorities of Saltpond Methodist Senior High School have decided to honour Mr Ato Essuman, Chief Director of Ministry of Education, Science and Sports for his contribution to the development of education in the municipality.
A bust in honour of Mr Essuman who is also Central Regional Representative on the Council of State would be unveiled and dedicated at the school on Friday, March 7.
Miss Vivian Etroo, Mfantseman Municipal Director of Education, speaking to Ghana News agency at Saltpond, said the ceremony would form part of activities for the school’s annual speech and prize-giving day. She said Mr Essuman had done a lot to uplift the standard of education in the municipality, adding “Mr Essuman is always at hand to lend a support to improvement in education.”
Miss Etroo noted that Mr Essuman assisted in the provision of infrastructure, books and materials to distressed schools in the municipality.
