Mfantseman East NDC elects executives

Ekumfi Essarkyir (C/R), Nov. 16, GNA – The Mfantseman East Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has retained all its old executives into office in appreciation of their hard work in the 2004 election.

Mfantseman East and Etsi Mokwa Constituencies in Twifu-Heman-Lower Denkyira Districts were the only constituencies won by NDC in the Central Region in the 2004 parliamentary election.

The officers retained at the delegates conference at Ekumfi Essarkyir included Mr Kuntu Takyi, Chairman, Kwame Nkrumah, Vice-Chairman, Fiifi Essuman, Secretary, Moses Acquah, Organiser, Angelina Okine, Women’s Organiser, Nana Kwame Essuon, Propaganda Secretary and Emmanuel Okyebi-Andam Assistant Organiser. Nana Alex Asamoah, Western Regional Chairman of the party commended the executives for retaining their positions and appealed to them not to get complacent but to work harder to win more seats in 2880. Nana Asamoah said NDC had the goodwill of the people to save them from the harsh economic policies of the NPP government. Mr George Kuntu Blankson, Member of Parliament for the area, briefed the conference on parliamentary proceedings and explained why the party was against the passing of the People’s Representation Bill. Mr Light Koomson, Central Regional Secretary of the party thanked the delegates for the peaceful manner in which the conference was conducted.

Mr Kuntu Takyi expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in them and appealed for their support to win more seats in 2008.
