Mfantseman community in Ashanti to contribute to OEF

Apam (C/R) Jan. 17 GNA- The Mfantseman community in the Ashanti Region, have imposed a levy of 20,000 cedis per head towards the Otumfuo Educational Endowment Fund and Nana Efua Kubi HIV/AIDS Foundation Fund. Nana Arkorful Owese II, Chief of the community who made this known to the Ghana News Agency, said part of the proceeds would be used for a local palace.

He said the community formed part of the “Nifa” Division of the Kumasi Traditional Council and urged members to maintain the longstanding bond of friendship between Fantes and Ashantis to boost socio-economic development.
