Metro Mass Transit inaugurates new station in Koforidua

Koforidua, July 1, GNA – The New Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Alex Asamoah, on Thursday inaugurated a permanent station for the Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMTL) in Koforidua. As a way of encouraging passengers to board the buses at the new station, the management of MMTL is offering free ride to commuters who board the buses at the new station to any part of the country from July 01 to July 03.

However those who board the bus outside the new station would be required to pay. The MMTL started operations in Koforidua in 2005 at the Koforidua Jackson’s Park before moving to the roadside behind the Ghana Commercial Bank that sometimes created traffic congestions on the road. Inaugurating the station Mr Asamoah appealed to security men who would be tasked to maintain law and order at the new place to take their work serious to ensure that travellers are protected from criminals. The Koforidua office of MMTL has 21 buses. 01 July 10
