Methodist Youth Fellowship donates to orphanage

Members of the Wesley Cathedral branch of the Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) in Sunyani on Tuesday presented items worth Ghc2, 000 to the Compassion Is Love Orphanage at Yawhima in the Sunyani Municipality.

The items included second clothing, detergents, packets of sachet water and other food products.

Reverend Kwaku Adomako Acheampong, a minister at the Wesley Cathedral said the donation formed part of activities lined up for the anniversary celebration of the fellowship.

He said God expected Christians to support the needy and the under-privileged in society.

Mr Francis Yeboah, Chairman of the Fellowship, said the Fellowship had taken the responsibility to pay periodic visits to orphanages and support the upbringing and development of the inmates both spiritually and materially.

Rev Charlotte Osei Kwarteng, Founder of the Home, thanked the Fellowship for the donation.
