Methodist youth fellowship conference ends

Winneba (C/R) Aug. 23 GNA – A four-day Youth fellowship of the third Biennial Delegates conference of Winneba Diocese of the Methodist Church of Ghana has ended at Winneba Secondary School. More than 80 participants from Awutu-Effutu-Senya, Gomoa, Agona, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa and Mfantseman East districts attended the conference.

It was under the theme: “making disciple of all nations the role of the youth,” was aimed at participants taking stock of the previous year’s activities and adopt new strategies to win more souls for Christ and the church.

Bible quiz and sporting activities were organised as part of the conference with Senya circuit becoming the overall champion of the quiz and the sports.

Agona Nyakrom and Agona Swedru circuits took the second and third positions respectively. Rev. Alberta Appiah of the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Winneba, delivering the closing sermon urged Christians to believe in the works of Christ.

Mrs. Irene Naana Ofosu-Behome, regional chairperson of the fellowship advised participants to put what they have learnt at the conference into practice.
