Methodist Men’s Fellowship unveils five-year strategic plan

Kumasi, June 21, GNA – The Kumasi Methodist Men’s Fellowship, as part of a five year strategic plan, is to construct a hostel and establish a livestock and teak plantation.

Mr Bright Osei Agyemang, Kumasi Diocesan Chairman of the Fellowship, who announced this on Monday therefore called for support and co-operation of all members to ensure the success of the plan. He was speaking at an inauguration and induction service for officers of the Saint Peter’s Methodist Men’s Fellowship at Boadi, near Kumasi on Sunday.

Mr George Omane, National Chairman-elect of the Association of the Fellowship said the Fellowship’s vision is to build a vibrant, spirit-filled and spirit-led men’s organization within the church for transformation of society.

He said they also have a mission to unite the men of the church to be in fellowship with Jesus Christ, themselves and take the centre stage of evangelism and discipleship.

Mr Omane told the inductees to be role models and reminded them that they would be known by the good fruits they bear. He said it has been a core value of the Fellowship to teach and to assist members to be honest, accountable and transparent in all that they do. Preaching on the theme: “Christ shall set you free”, Reverend John Kofi French, Minister of the Church called on the leadership of the Fellowship to be humble and to give hope to society. He said the inauguration, which coincided with the “Father’s Day” celebration, should inspire them to take good care of their families. He added that as fathers they should not neglect their responsibilities to their wives and children.
