Methodist men’s fellowship pays tribute to late Baah-Wiredu

Kumasi, Sept 29, GNA – The Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowships in Kumasi has paid tribute to the late Mr Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, describing him as a hard-working man whose death had dealt a big blow to the nation. “Baah-Wiredu will always be remembered for his humility, respect, kindness and compassion for his fellow human beings in all the jobs he was assigned both in politics and his social life”, the association noted.

The association paid the tribute at its monthly council meeting held in Kumasi at the weekend.

The fellowship observed a minute’s silence for the late minister who was member of the fellowship.

Mr Asare Yeboah, the Kumasi Diocesan Chairman of the association, said as a member of the Methodist Men’s Fellowship, “he endeared himself to the tenets and constitution of the church and the fellowship as well as his fellow members”.

Addressing the meeting, Mr Charles Mensah, immediate-past national chairman of the fellowship, said plans are far advanced for the commissioning of the retreat centre being built at Kwadaso in Kumasi. He commended the Kumasi Diocese of the Fellowship for its contribution towards the project.
