Koforidua, June 29, GNA- Thirty one reverend ministers were on Sunday commissioned into the Methodist Church at ceremonies organized simultaneously at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral at Koforidua and the Effiduase Calvary Methodist Church, near Koforidua. Fifteen of the ministers were commissioned into the Church at the Cathedral by Rt. Rev. Kow Egyir, the Administrative Bishop of the Methodist Church. Delivering the sermon at Wesley Cathedral, the Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Church, Rt. Rev. Fredriech Nnuroh urged the newly commissioned priests to use the truth in the Bible to fight the false teachings and practices which is leading to increase in occultism in the society. He urged them to be strong to do their work and reminded them that ministerial work could not be done in weakness, fear and timidity but in strength, faith and boldness. Rt. Rev Nnuroh advised the newly commissioned ministers to be discipline and focused and reminded them that the work of a reverend minister is not always rosy and urged them to be prepared to face hardship, deprivation and suffering for the sake of their beliefs. Rt. Rev. Egyir called on Christians to be interested in reconciliation wherever there are problems and urged all Ghanaians to be concerned in the problems in northern Ghana. He called on the newly commissioned to show interest, not only in the spiritual needs of their congregation but in all matters that affect the well- being of their people.
