We the members of NDC Canada Chapter have learnt with deep sorrow the death of Mr. Sylvester Akakpovi, popularly known as Sly at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after a short illness.
We recall with gratitude his unflinching support and dedication during his days as the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the Party.
We mourn with our Party in Ghana for the loss of a patriot, a great inspirer and a leader. Our thoughts also go to the leadership of our Party who are working tirelessly to give him a befitting farewell. Our condolences also go to his family who undoubtedly has lost a husband, father, a brother, an uncle and indeed a pillar.
NDC Canada Chapter sees this untimely death as the rallying call to unite and strengthen all factions in our political landscape especially in the Ashanti Region for the great task ahead. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
