Mercy of Christ to offer scholarships to the needy

The Mercy of Christ Ministries International is to offer scholarships to the poor and the needy to enable them to enter basic schools.

The church would also open a school, a hospital and a guest house, to cater for the educational, health and the accommodation needs of the vulnerable.

Prophet Eric Adri, General Overseer of the church, disclosed this at the opening of a week-long conference of the church at Madina Redco in Accra.

The conference which is on the theme: ‘Let’s Conquer the Devil for Peace,’ is aimed at praying for peace and stability of the nation, and also the social well-being of the participants.

Prophet Adri said the provision of the school as well as the hospital, was the church’s contribution towards health and educational development in the country.

He said there would be no development in a country that neglected education, which he said, should be the priority of every nation.

The General Overseer urged the youth to draw closer to God, and also be creative and contribute towards national development.

Prophet Adri urged religious leaders to use the pulpit to educate their members on government’s policies and programmes.
