Mental patient gone astray in Sunyani

Sunyani, Aug. 12, GNA – Sunyani Municipal Office of the Department of Social Welfare has appealed to the public to assist to reintegrate a mentally challenged girl in their custody with her parents.

Mr Eric Minka, the Municipal Director of the department, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview said a Good Samaritan found the girl astray in the municipality and brought her to the department.

“As a result of her mental problem, her name and that of her parents as well as her hometown have been inconsistent as she keeps on changing them when asked”, he said.

The girl is aged between 14 and 17, dark in complexion and speaks Twi, he said.

Mr. Minka appealed to anyone with nformation about the girl to contact the nearest police station, social welfare or to call the following phone numbers: 0208091613/0246253723.
