Member of Parliament for Yendi inspects projects

Yendi(NR), Feb. 19, GNA – Alhaji Malik Alhassan Yakubu, Member of Parliament for Yendi has toured the constituency to inspect some completed and on-going development projects. They included Yendi Community Library under construction and being financed by District Wide Assembly Project (DWAP) at the cost of GH¢ 120,000 and a three-classroom block for Kulkpeni Junior High School at a cost of GH¢43,000.

He also inspected rehabilitation works at Zohe Islamic No. 2 primary school, Fassaliya Islamic No. 1 primary school, Wanbung primary school, Kukong primary school and the 98 students-capacity health training school at Yendi.

Alhaji Yakubu who is also the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament presented five computers, printers and their accessories donated by the management of Ghana Cocoa Board to Yendi Senior High School. Mr Imoro Sumani, Headmaster of the school said it had 1,545 students and hoped the computers would assist them to become computer literate.

Alhaji Mohammed Habib Tijani, Yendi Municipal Chief Executive advised the students to take proper care of the computers for the future generation.
