Melcom Care Foundation donates to paediatrics ward of Police Hospital

Melcom Care Foundation has donated some items to children on admission at the Paediatric Ward of the Ghana Police Hospital.

The donation was made by the Director of Communications for Melcom Group, Mr Godwin Avenorgbo, and was received by the Head of the Paediatric Department, DCOP Marian Tetteh Korboe.

The items presented included teddy bears, biscuits, water and drinks. Speaking at the function, Mr Avenorgbo said the donation was part of the Group’s social responsibility.

“We are here to present some items to every admitted child in this ward. We want them to know they are not forgotten.

Melcom Care Foundation does this donation regularly and we chose this hospital because it has a well organised children’s ward and we think we should be here to support.

“Melcom Care Foundation has been set up to make an impact in the communities we serve. So this is our part of our social responsibility to the society and that is the essence of making this donation”, he added.

The head of the Paediatric Department, DCOP Marian Tetteh Korboe, thanked Melcom Care Foundation for their continuous support and assistance to the Paediatric Department.

“This is the second time Melcom Care Foundation has done this donation. We hope they will continue come to our aid as well even as we entreat other corporate institutions to do so too,” she added.
