Medical practitioner gives to Ho Nursing College

Ho, Oct. 18, GNA – A Private Medical Practitioner, in the Volta Region, at the weekend, donated GHC500 to the Ho Nursing Training College, to support its infrastructural development.

The donation followed an appeal by Mama Attratoh II, Queen of Ho-Dome and Board Chairperson of the Institution, due to the deplorable state of the college’s buildings and other facilities. Mama Attratoh, who briefed the GNA in Ho about the donation, said the amount would be used to purchase a public address system for use in the college’s over populated classrooms, to give some respite to Lecturers, who had to shout to be heard.

She noted that facilities of the Institution were under serious pressure, due to the increasing population of students and appealed to stakeholders to help expand the facilities and improve on the infrastructure of the College.

Mama Attratoh, who said the donor wanted to remain anonymous, observed that the Institution’s hostels were leaking badly and needed to be re-roofed.

She said the college’s library, dinning hall and classrooms were also too small for the 250 student population and called for assistance.
