A Madina-based private medical facility has been shut down after operating with a quack doctor for more than twenty years.
It follows the arrest of the owner of the Covenant Clinic after he stopped appearing in court for prosecution.
Adams Aremeyaw has been illegally providing medical services without a license.
Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council, Dr Eli Atikpui said the shutdown was necessary to save innocent lives.
“Currently he is in Police custody, and the way forward is that once the individual has been arrested the Police take care of investigation and the Prosecution, and we only assist to get the arrest done and the Police takes it from there”.
