Media urged to intensify road safety campaign

Koforidua, Dec. 6, GNA- The Ghana Road Safety Commission has appealed to the media to intensify the road safety campaign to prevent lorry accidents in the country, as Christmas approaches. The commission noted that the rate at which accidents are occurring in the country was quite disheartening. The Eastern Regional Co-coordinator of the Commission, Mr Stephen Anokye made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Koforidua on Wednesday.

He said the Commission was committed to ensuring that drivers do not drive when they are drunk, tired and feeling sleepy, and asked the media to help in the campaign.
