Media urged to be balanced in their reportage

Accra, Jan 7, GNA- The Media was on Thursday, urged to balance in their reportage during the next administration of President John Agyekum Kufuor.

He said the work of the media was very important at any given time and advised people who establish newspapers with special agenda to be ethical in their reportage.

Papa Owusu Ankomah, out-going Minister of Justice and Attorney General made the call at a Media Soiree organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to show their appreciation to the Media for the work they had done in the past four years.

“The Media has kept the Government on its toes. As much as we appreciate the work of the media we are asking them to show a sense of balance in their reportage,” he said.

The soiree brought together people from almost all the media houses in the capital.

Present at the function was Mr Yaw Osafo Maafo, Finance Minister, Mr Felix Owusu Agyapong, Majority Leader and some Executives of the NPP.
