Accra, April 2, GNA – The National Media Commission (NMC) on Thursday announced the composition of Boards of Directors of the state-owned houses.
A statement signed by NMC Chairman, Mr Paul Adu-Gyamfi, said the seven-member Ghana News Agency Board would be chaired by Dr Anthony Bonnah-Koomson, a lecturer at the School of Communication Studies, University of Ghana.
Other members are Robert William Hrisir Quaye, Ms Ajoa Yeboah Afari, Samuel V. Kanco, Sedna Tamakloe Atienu, Mr Kodwo Xerxes Ahlijah and the General Manager.
The nine-member News Times Corporation Board is headed David Newton, Rector of the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Other members are Nyamekye Kwame Owusu, Togbe Adom Drayi, Mrs Jeannette Quarcoopome, Robert A. Baidoo Jnr, Dr (Mrs) Sika Ahadzie, Kweku Duncan, Mrs Emma Asiedu and the Managing Director. The statement said Prof J.B.K. Aheto chairs the nine-member Ghana Broadcasting Corporation Board.
Other members are Edward B. Asare, Yaw Wiredu Pepprah, Vicky Wereko Andoh, Gayheart Mensah, Abdulai Dramani, Ophelia Ablor, Kwaku Mensah Bonsu and the Director-General The Graphic Communications Group Ltd has Emmanuel Baba Mahama as Chairman of the nine-member board.
Other members are Joseph Kweku Adjei, Ms Sarah Akrofi-Quarcoo, Joseph E.T. Dottey, Awuku Sao, Dr A.A. Jangu, Regina Atsutse, Clement Vanderpuye and the Managing Director.
