MDCC festival underway peacefully

Mozano (C/R), Sept 4, GNA – The annual peace festival of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC), has began at Mozano in the Central Region, with a massive crowd turn up at the Jubilee Temple by members, despite the crisis in the church over the past eight years. The festival was made possible due to the work of the 2010 Peace Festival National Executive Planning Committee, formed under the directions of the Supreme Court.

Nana Obokuma Atta IX, Chief of Gomoa Dasum and the Chairman of the nine-member committee said the success of this year’s festival was the work of God, adding that, MDCC is for God and that no individual can split it.

He said no one has left the church despite the crisis. Nana Atta urged members to celebrate the occasion in unity and as “one family doing the will of God”.

“Let the practice of peace, go beyond hand shakes and smile, and avoid ungodly attitudes, such as fighting, intimidation, immoral acts and gossiping, which must not be mentioned among Christians.” Reverend Joseph Annor Kesson, in a sermon, reminded members to always have the doctrine of the church at heart because the church is one in all its work.

Rev Kesson advised them to pray unceasingly, since it was the only way to thwart the effort of the devil.

Prophet H.E.Y. Gaisie, Deputy Senior Prophet in an interview with the Ghana News Agency charged all present to go back with the good news of peace, love and unity, after eight years of crisis. Prophet Gaisie praised the Planning Committee for the success it has achieved within a short period of three weeks. Rev Anesius Jehu Appiah, Public Relations Officer of the Church called for a total change towards unity, adding that, every soul is welcomed and that the unity should be a lasting one. He expressed appreciation to the various committees for the good work done; adding that, the success chalked is the work of God, to bring success, leading to a better MDCC.
