Mckenzie gives Sacred Heart School

Nsoatre (B/A) Oct 24 GNA – The Mckenzie Sports Wear Manufacturing Company in Sunyani on Thursday presented a set of girls’ volleyball jerseys and school T- shirts worth 1.6 million cedis to Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School (SAHESS) in Nsoatre, near Sunyani.

Making the presentation, Mr. Michael Asare Yeboah, the Managing Director, said the company’s decision was in appreciation of the school’s fast improving performance in sports.

He expressed the hope that the items would help to motivate students of the school in their sporting activities, both at the zonal and regional levels.

The Managing Director, popularly known as ‘McKenzie’, said the company had made similar donations to a number of institutions and football clubs in the region since its establishment in 1997.

The beneficiary institutions include Techiman Senior Secondary School (TESS), Twene Amanfo Senior Secondary/Technical School in Sunyani (TASTECH) and Odomaseman Senior Secondary School (ODASS). The company has also been donating ‘Mckenzie’ T- shirts” to ball boys at the two premier football league centres in the region.

Mr. Asare said Brong-Ahafo United and Bofoakwa Tano premier football clubs had also been beneficiaries of the company’s gesture. He said the company was closely monitoring the activities of individual schools and football clubs in the first, second and third divisions in the region in a bid to extend its gesture to those who would perform well.

Sister Elizabeth Anderson, Headmistress of SAHESS and the Assistant Headmaster Mr. Kofi Agyeman, who jointly received the items thanked the company for the gesture.
