MCE urges students to take advantage of Government’s programmes

Takoradi, July 16, GNA – Captain Anthony Cudjoe (Retired), Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive, has advised students to take advantage of Government’s programmes for the youth to improve themselves.

He gave the advice at a quiz competition between Sekondi College and the Shama Senior High School organized by the Nation Service Personnel Association at Takoradi on Friday. Sekondi College won the competition.

Captain Cudjoe said the Government’s interventions for the youth aim at equipping them particularly with leadership skills to take up responsible positions in future.

He said it was imperative that students study hard to acquire skills and knowledge that would make it possible for them to contribute towards national development.

He said education was important in this regard because it enabled people to understand their environment.
