MCE presents dual desks to schools

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs. Christina Kobinah, has presented 500 dual desks to the Municipal Education Directorate.

The desks would be distributed to 1,000 pupils in 17 schools in the Municipality to create a decent and conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.

In a short address at the ceremony at Tarkwa, Mrs. Kobinah said the dual desks were provided by the government and advised the pupils to take good care of them.

The MCE noted that it was the responsibility of parents to educate their children and appealed to parents to invest in the education of their wards.

Mrs. Kobinah said that the Municipal Assembly would continue to make education attractive to children in the area.

Receiving the items, the Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Veronica Ama Jackson, thanked the Assembly for the gesture.
