MCE advises against indiscriminate disposal of refuse

Tarkwa (W/R), July 5, GNA-The Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Mrs. Christiana Kobinah has urged residents in the Municipality to desist from indiscriminate disposal of refuse. She said refuse which were thrown anywhere ended up blocking the gutters which contributed to flooding when it rained. The areas affected included Bankyim, Charlekrom, Akyempim, Nzemaline, Benso, Tarkwa Banso and Anyinase.

Mrs. Kobinah said the Assembly will ensure that buildings are not constructed on water courses in order to allow free flow of water when it rained. Receiving the items on behalf of the victims, the Assemblyman for Tamso electoral area, Dan Lardi Salifu thanked the MCE for the relief items.

He promised to ensure equity in the distribution of the items. 05 July 09
