Mbeki leaves for home

The South African President, Mr. Thabo Mbeki, left Accra for home last Saturday after a four-day official visit to Ghana. A joint communique on trade, defense and bilateral co-operation.

President Flt. Ltd. J. J. Rawlings hosted a State Banquet in honour of Mr. Mbeki at the State House during the latter’s stay in the country. It was attended by Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and Mrs Zanele Mbeki.

The banquet was also attended by Vice-President J. E. A Mills and his wife Mrs. Naadu Mills. President Rawlings and Mbeki, Nana Konadu and Zanele, sharing departure messages at the Kotoka International Airport last Saturday.
