Mawarko trial: I didn’t pour blended pepper on victim – Jihad

The embattled Abelemkpe branch manager of Marwako Fast Foods, Jihad Chabaan, has denied dipping the face of an employee, Evelyn Boakye, into blended pepper.

Testifying in court Monday, he said he only poured the content of the blender into a bowl as their custom was as a restaurant.

However, police prosecutor, Hanson Armah, suggested that Jihad’s direct action of holding the victim’s neck to the table on which the blended content sat, resulted in the splashing of pepper on her face.

Mr Chabaan was arrested by the Tesano police after he was accused of manhandling his subordinate, Boakye, for working slowly.

He is reported to have dipped the face of the employee into hot pepper sauce for close to 10 minutes inside the restaurant’s kitchen.
