Information reaching Atinkaonline indicates that over 800 land owners are currently embarking on a massive demonstration against Anglo Gold Ashanti (Iduaprim mine, Tarkwa) over alleged non-payment of compensation.
According to the land owners , their lands and other properties were taken over by the company two years ago for mining purposes, but compensation for the takeover have not been paid.
The demonstration is taking place at the company’s main yard.
