Mass registration in Volta Region to begin on May 15

Accra, April 21, GNA – The National Identification Authority (NIA) announced on Tuesday that the mass registration exercise in the Volta Region would now begin on May 15.

This is because a majority of the temporary Registration Officers/Assistants in the Volta Region have indicated that they would be participating in sandwich courses at various tertiary institutions during the period earlier announced for the exercise. A statement signed by Ms Bertha Dzeble, Head of Public Affairs of NIA, stressed that the role of these officers was very crucial to the successful conduct of the exercise.
