Mass defection from NDC to DFP in Nkwanta South

Ho, July 5, GNA – A total of 215 members of the Nkwanta South constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), including Stephen Mamene Angye, chairman, NDC of the constituency, have defected to the yet to be out-doored Democratic Freedom Party (DFP)

In a release addressed to the Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Ho on Tuesday, the defectors, whose names and voter identity cards numbers were included in the release, stated among others that, they were confident in the capabilities of the personalities behind the formation of the DFP. They contended that they were not happy to be members of the NDC and therefore, decided on June 10, 2006 to defect to the DFP. They wished the NDC the best in its future endeavour.
