Mason remanded in prison custody for defilement

Takoradi May 09, GNA – Takoradi Circuit Court “A” on Monday remanded Kwame Essoun, a 22-year old mason, for defiling a four-year old girl. The accused pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on May 13. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Joe Hedidor said on the morning of April 27, the accused lured the victim to a spot under a water reservoir at Nkontompo near Sekondi and defiled her.

He said a witness in the case saw the accused in the act and raised an alarm but the accused escaped. The victim was taken to hospital and a report was made to the police. 09 May 05
