Mason remanded for defilement

Tema, Sept 22, GNA — The Tema Circuit Court ‘A’ has remanded a 31-year old mason for defiling a 10-year old girl in an uncompleted building at Baatsona.

Kwasi Ahiable pleaded not guilty to the charge and will re-appear on Monday, September 27.

Police Inspector Sarah Acquah, told the court that on April 29 at about 1800 hours the mother of the victim sent her to buy corn dough from a nearby house.

The accused person followed the victim and dragged her into an uncompleted building and forcibly had sex with her. The prosecution said a passer-by saw the accused person in the act, and informed the victim’s sister who reported the case to the Community 18 police.
