Mason arrested at girls dormitory

Raymond Kofi Amoako, a 24-year-old mason, on Wednesday appeared before the Kade District Magistrate’s Court for unlawful entering into the girls’ dormitory of the Asuom Senior High School in the Eastern Region.

He pleaded guilty with explanation and was remanded into prison custody to re-appear on February 26.

Police Sergeant Ambrose Akpabli said on December 1 last year at about 0130 hours, some students of the school spotted Amoako and two others coming from the maize farm at the back of their dormitory.

The students quietly followed them until the intruders climbed the second upper floor before raising the alarm leading to the arrest of Amoako but his accomplices escaped.

He was handed over to the school security men who with some students escorted him to the police station.
