Jihad Thaabn 26, the supervisor of Abelemkpe branch of Marwako Fast Foods who assaulted his female subordinate has been granted bail.

According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Accra Regional Police Command ASP Afia Tenge, the suspect will be provisionally charged for assault and will soon be arraigned before court.

“For now we have released him on bail and we are provisionally charging him for assault while we further probe the matter. It is likely other charges could come in. I am quite sure the investigator has gone far with the case”, she told Accra-based Peace Fm.

ASP Tenge also revealed that the Regional Police Commander will meet both parties later on Tuesday but said the police administration is not shielding the suspect as many are envisaging.

“We are concerned with the case and we will ensure that the law takes it course”, she assured.

Evelyn Boakye 25, a Ghanaian female employee with Marwako fast foods had her head stacked in a big blender containing pepper while the suspect yelled abusive words at her.

The matter is currently under investigation by the police even though the suspect has rendered a public apology.
