Married couple, three others held over drugs

A married couple alongside three other persons have been arrested and detained by the Asokwa police in Kumasi for allegedly dealing in hard drugs. Samuel Clottey, 59, and his spouse, Comfort Adoma, 62, Kwame Egah, 47, Ganoses Adongo, 38, and Samuel Quainoo, 24, were caught with substances believed to be cocaine and cannabis during a special operation mounted to flush out criminals.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Charles Domanban, the Divisional Commander, told a media briefing that the five were arrested in different locations.

He said the suspects would put before the court as soon as they were done with their investigations.

ACP Domandan vowed to sustain the crime fight to enable the law-abiding to go about their daily business activities in peace.

He asked the miscreants to reform in their own interest or face the full force of the law.
