Mark Woyongo sails through unopposed

Mr Mark Owen Woyongo, Minister of the Interior and Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo Central on Saturday said he had no challenger in his constituency in the NDC primary taking place in the various constituencies in the country.

Speaking to the Ghana news Agency in Accra from his constituency on phone, he said, the only competition he would face would be during the parliamentary elections in 2016 with his opponents.

He said Mr Joseph Adda, former MP for the Constituency as well as Minister of Employment in theKufuor administration was his serious contender.

Mr Woyongo was, however, optimistic of beating his opponent in the 2016 parliamentary elections though he had not lost side of the fact that he still had to work hard to attract more voters to his side to widen the percentage gap to place him at the top.

He expressed appreciation to the party supporters, and called on voters in the constituency to continue to remain on his side to help him win the seat hands down.
